My two cents

For what it's worth, every NHLer I've talked to the past two weeks has said there won't be a season. They're also all near the lower end of the payscale and are very, very frustrated by how the lockout has gone.

Belak no know how to end it.
Now, I'm not writing lockout-based stories, so there's no need for these guys to put out a PA-based message. And I also doubt these players are good enough actors to 'fake' the kind of conviction with which they say the season is finished. There is seemingly as much as, or maybe even more, pessimism amongst these guys than in mainstream media reports.

Ballhype: hype it up!

Hey, you're talking to my crowd now :)

And yes, that is the same response and feeling I've gotten from all of them.

I've spoken to a few about a possible cap or linkage and whether they'd accept it and a few gave a backhanded yes, but I don't want to make any broad statements.
