Jagr staying put, Holik likely going

Today's New York Daily News reported that under the NHL's new agreement with the IIHF, Jagr will not be able to play in Russia this season (or until 2007-08 for that matter). The Rangers would like to hold on to the former Art Ross winner as they are only on the hook for $4.8-million of his salary this season.

Holik, on the other hand, is due the ungodly sum of $13.452 million over the next two years. It seems as though he will be bought out. It was a short stay in the Big Apple for the big man.
