Sabres to revisit blue and gold

The Buffalo News reported yesterday that the club is looking into returning to their more traditional colour scheme, something that I welcome as a fan of the Puppa-era of the team.
[Managing partner Larry] Quinn indicated the Sabres are strongly considering a return to a blue-and-gold scheme, but not for this season. If the Sabres people are looking for designs, might I suggest those designed by John Slabyk (as pictured above). As he mentions, they might be a good way to usher out the Rigas-era and reconnect the team with their more prosperous history.NHL regulations require teams to notify the league of logo and uniform changes a year in advance so merchandise doesn't become obsolete before it can sold.
The Sabres have created multiple in-house uniform designs and are about to evaluate forthcoming designs from Reebok.

Awesome! A Blue/Gold design that is a bit modernized (like St. Louis Rams) would SO rock the house.
I know it's just a concept but that is a sweet design.
Sweet indeed. Never has Miro Satan looked so photogenic.
Speaking of Satan, the Norfolk Tide AAA baseball team has a player with the only name I've ever seen that might be better than his- Angel Pagan.
I cringed when the Sabres changed their colours, as the League needed another team in black and red like it needed a hole in the head. A return to their traditional unis would be a positive move for the Sabres. (And for about half a dozen other teams around the NHL...)
