to look after this bunch!
Here's my question -- how many guys who finished the 03-04 season as NHL regulars are going to be left without a chair when the music stops? When you check how many teams are close to the cap, and how many players are still left unsigned, it's not hard to imagine that there may well be about 150 guys, including some prominent names, who have played their last game but just don't know it yet.
all these guys will be picked up by someone. its just the waiting game that's going to lower their prices
