Stop drop and roll: The Blue Jackets are on fire

I suppose if I'm going to dump on Columbus when they're playing like the mismanaged wreck of a team that they are, I should also acknowledge when they turn on the juice. The Blue Jackets are currently 8-3 in their last 11 games, meaning their chances at the No. 1 overall pick are getting slimmer as time goes on.

They can't even tank a season properly.

Maybe they can learn from St. Louis who have traded Sillinger and Weight and are almost sure to trade Tkachuk shortly after he gets healthy. They were horrible with those players, imagine how bad they will be without them.

While watching last night's Blues-Flames game, my wife turned to me and said, "Doesn't it feel like Bill Laurie is playing out the script from 'Major League'?". Yeah, except for the winning the championship part.

As a season ticket holder, it's alot more fun to watch the Jackets win.
