Blue Jackets lock up MacLean

This is a bad, bad move.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have decided to keep around the architect for what has been the NHL's worst team the past three seasons, reportedly giving GM Doug MacLean a new multi-year deal with which he'll be able to continue to wreak havok.

Unfortunately, attendance in Columbus has continued to slip this season and, unless the team starts winning more games, that's a trend that may continue. Even fans in a good hockey market like Ohio can only put up with losing so long.

What photos does Doug MacLean own?
Really, by what measure could a team justify keeping him around?

I thought that it was kind of a stretch to ink him long term, but the team has been doing much better lately since they have had everyone come back from injury and apparently that was all that Mr Mac(owner) needed to see to do this... I mean they have won 8 of the last 11, beat the streaking preds, wild, and canucks... still though after 5 years of nothing and a painful start to this year I don't know...w
