A sportswriter at The Globe and Mail, James covers the NHL and the game of hockey. He is a member of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association, a senior editor with McKeen's Hockey and was the NHL network manager at SB Nation from 2008 to 2010. A graduate of Thompson Rivers and Ryerson universities, James grew up in Kamloops, B.C. — one of Canada's great hockey cities — and was a season ticket holder in the Blazers' glory years.

Wow, he's going for more than I thought.
Wonder how much John Ferguson Jr. would pull down...
He's obviously been priced out of the market. Good thing for the Canadiens, he's too valuable to lose.
I don't specifically know what "horrible trades and moves" Gainey did "in the past years" but that Theodore for Aebischer deal looked solid to me.
The Habs got an above-average-but-streaky goaltender who makes several million less than the expensive-headcase-who's-career-year-was-4-years-ago they had to give up.
Am I the only one who's really tired of these eBay kinda auctions?
I mean, they were cute for about two minutes. But the time is gone. and i'm with Pete. Shaggy is so 2004.
As for JFJ, geez. Put him on the Gong Show.
