Ruff the fan favourite

Things have been extremely busy lately, but the best hockey-related piece I read today was this feature on Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff by National Post reporter Mike Traikos.

He has spent more than a quarter-century in Buffalo and still gets stopped by locals whenever he's walking around on this side of the Niagara River.

"I love the city," he said. "I think it's a great hockey town. You can see it days leading up to this game. The atmosphere in this building is buzzing. I've basically been in this city since 1979, so I really am a Buffalonian now."
