Oilers eliminate Red Wings
I don't think there's any question what tonight's Game of the Night was. Wow. Bring on the French Fork, boys.

I don't know what's more irritating, watching the wings blow a 2 goal lead or having to watch it while listening to the incredibly biased CBC sportscasters. Oh well, go Flames.
I have to say that for the first time, the Oilers had some questionable referring go in their favour. Sort of sours the victory, but I think most Oil fans will take it.
I refuse to root for any team that employs Brad Winchester, so I guess it's time for me to get aboard the Calgary bandwagon, too. At least out west.
I really can't understand why everyone the past few days has been essentially conceeding Calgary the Flames-Ducks series. That one is as tough to call as any in the first round.
I wasn't conceding the series even before tonight's game. Of the five teams left in the west, though, Calgary is the only one I have any interest in rooting for. If you put a gun to my head and convince me it's loaded, I'll take San Jose as my second pick.
Colorado? No thanks, I'm a Red Wings fan.
Edmonton? See my comment about Brad Winchester.
Anaheim? I made a commitment to my father that I would never root for anything from southern California.
San Jose? Dad gave me a limited number of times that I could root for teams from California at all, and I'm saving them for the A's.
I'm not conceeding either, just cheering them on. If Calgary doesn't make it I don't know who I'll root for. Buffalo or Philly I suppose.
James,
I was very impressed with the passion shown by the Ducks last night, especially overcoming that horrible call by Koharski taking a goal away from Selanne (must have had his vision obscured by a donut... couldn't resist).
That's the kind of play that can turn a series around and I'm sticking by my prediction that Anaheim squeaks out a victory in game 7. Greeat series. Great hockey.
Vive la AGH!
