2006 Stanley Cup Final
Schremp doesn't get the call

Edmonton Oilers coach Craig MacTavish will be making a lineup change for tonight's game, but it's not the one the guys at Sports Matters have been pushing for the past 24 hours:
MacTavish will make one lineup change for tonight by inserting forward Todd Harvey for tough-guy Georges Laraque.
Tim Wharnsby's story from this afternoon also gets into a whole other issue: The Stanley Cup frenzy overtaking Raleigh.

I remember back in 1994 when the New York Rangers took a 3-1 series lead in the final, and Game 5 was essentially a Stanley Cup celebration by the city of New York. The Vancouver Canucks won the game fairly handily (6-3), went back to Vancouver and pounded the Rangers again (4-1) and set up a legendary Game 7 back in the Big Apple.

No, they didn't win, but that was an unbelievable effort by that team to extend the series.
