It was a gut-wrenching moment during the Edmonton Oilers' run for the Stanley Cup: Ryan Smyth getting hit by a puck and losing some of his bottom teeth, which his teammates recovered from the bloody ice.
Mr. Smyth's kind of problem may soon have a made-in-Alberta solution.
Three researchers at the University of Alberta have become the first to file a patent for technology that can regrow human teeth for snaggle-toothed people such as Mr. Smyth.
