Beach-bum spokesman extraordinaire

I suppose Oakley's hockey visor division (?!) wishes they'd included a 'non-disheveled look' clause when they chose Scott Niedermayer to promote their latest aerodynamic, overpriced, tinted, built-in headphone visors.
As an aside, since when does Oakley make hockey equipment? I missed that one.

They've been making visors for a while now. You've probably seen them on a bunch of players-incuding Sakic and Iginla-without noticing them as they're fairly subdued for Oakley(they've only got a little "O" on the side to identify them)You can find them on the CCM website.
$7 million a year, and Neidermayer still can't seem to find a razor and a hairbrush for public appearances...
Oakley has made visors and gloves for a couple years now. I know Chara and I think Andrei Markov use the glove with the big "O" on them.
Also, do you think Niedermayer tells kids to get off his lawn??

Aw, cut the guy some slack. He's a SoCal now, and is obviously maintaining the persona through the offseason.
What the above posters have claimed is true. In fact, I've been through many Oakley stores in the U.S., and all have carried the visors alongside their sunglasses and other various merch. The last place I saw them was in San Diego. It may have seemed odd, until I discovered there was an ice rink inside the mall as well -- with kids in the middle of a legitimate pee-wee game. Truly awesome to see.
