An injury query
Do any readers know where I could find a list of team's man-games lost due to injury from last season? I haven't had any luck tracking the numbers down.
UPDATE I've now got the figures for 27 of 30 teams, and will post them here shortly. The only ones I'm missing are Columbus, the Rangers and Ottawa.

I know that I lost about 30 man-hours searching for the same while the Canes were suffering a fierce bout of injury bug late in the season.
Good luck.
The Sports Network usually keeps a list during the season, but I couldn't find a season-ending total anywhere.
If it makes your life any easier, I know, for a fact, that the number of women-games lost to injury in the NHL last season was exactly 0.0 for each team.
"The NHL doesn't keep statistics on games lost to injuries, and the 30 teams have different ways of calculating man games lost, making it impossible to compare injuries from season to season."
I know the numbers aren't kept formally by the league, but they are often cited by teams (like the LA Kings) who have unbelievable injury problems throughout the year.
Mirtle,
That sort of number is likely kept by either ELIAS or STATS, INC. Since STATS has a blog on NHL, I'm assuming that they would be the oddball statkeepers for the NHL. Can you use your media credentials to get info from them?
I would also be interested in finding where I can get this info.
The Flyers were at 388 according to the local media last season.
I guess the information was put out by the team itself.
The Thrashers post the running total for the team and individual players in the game notes before each game. I expect that all teams do the same, so if you can access the media game notes from the end of the season...
No coincidence, I suspect, that seven of the "top" eight teams in terms of injuries missed the playoffs.
