Snow on the radio

While I realize things have become a little Garth Snow heavy around here lately, I thought I'd point out that the new Islanders GM will be appearing on Primetime Sports today on the Fan 590. It should be interesting given that they won't go easy on him.

I'll be in the newsroom when he's on and won't have a chance to update, but I'll listen to the rebroadcast later tonight and have something tomorrow morning.

I kind of thought that Elliot went easy on him....

I didn't get a chance to hear it yet, so that may have been the case. It probably would have been a little more, uh, hard-hitting with Bob there, no?

What I was hoping to hear was some questions about Snow's actual qualifications, and why in the world he thought he would be qualified when a lot of his GM peers are (a) much older than him and (b) experienced lawyers.

Personally, I really like the work Elliotte Friedman does. Both he and The Globe's Mike Grange asked some good questions of John Muckler last week.

Going to give it listen...PVR it overnight. GS did go through his soforth. Sounded to me that he won Elliotte over by the end of it. I think he was asked some tough questions. Agreed it would have been harder hitting with Bob there without a doubt.

Elliotte went to easy on him which was kind of disappointing. I like Elliottes' work as well, but there's something to be said for having an asshole asking the questions when you really want some answers. Friedman is too nice.

In case anyone is wondering, I like Bob's work as well.
