Heat wave

It's hot in Toronto. Way too hot.

Two days before a lengthy trip out of the province, I'm roasting here in Southern Ontario, and the Weather Network says it currently "feels like 48 degrees."

(That's 118 Fahrenheit, American friends.)

It's my day off, and I'm hiding inside where the a/c is plentiful. While I may have grown up in Canada's hottest city, even this is too much for me.

There might be quite a lot of blogging today.

I basically never want to leave work because they have AC and I don't. It's a corporate ploy.

Indeed, during our unprecedented heat wave here in Vancouver, my asthma started acting up and I just wanted to stay home and sleep. But work has A/C and it helps more than sleeping, so in I came. Clever, aren't they?

Some of us live car-free and have no A/C in our apartments.... and people turn up their noses at us!
