Photo evidence of the Buffaslug
I'll have more on this and a look at other logos sometime by the end of this weekend.
Thanks to Paul Kukla for the image.

I think right now... is about the time I start feeling REALLY sorry for the Sabres players.
I mean, WTF is that? Other than UGLY!, I mean...
Did they go black and yellow (gold) or it is just a really dark blue?
It looks like something Bozo The Clown puked on. The Sabres front office took the request of their fans to return to the classic jersey and colours and bastardized it. They just didn't care what their fans wanted and stupidly believe this is gonna be a big seller.
Hopefully in a couple of years this thing and that stupid Buffaslug emblem will go the way of the Bruins "Pooh-Bear" third jersey and be relegated to the ashcan of history.
I'm speechless. What's with the number on the front? And is that some gray too?
And I used to enjoy Bruins/Sabres games.
As a Sabre fan, I wouldn't listen to sabre fans.
I went to the practice, and they looked good on the ice. The blue and yellow gold is back. And the kids like them. You know the future fans. If they had more jerseys in stock, they would probably sold a ton more. Vendor issues.
The blue is perfect navy, and its yellow gold, like the old yellow. The look much better in person. And who cares what others think, the MAJORITY of us like them.
