As this video shows, the controversy over the Buffalo Sabres new logo was apparently not enough to scare the team away from using it.

A sportswriter at The Globe and Mail, James covers the NHL and the game of hockey. A boatload, but not as many as they could have sold.
It's just that we're not real bright down here, and will buy pretty much whatever they're selling.
When the Goathead came out, everyone swore they wouldn't buy that either...
I own a goathead jersey - I was too big a hasek fan. I have to say that the fan made jersey is really far better than either of them though
Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm a closet Sabres fan (having survived 5.5 years of college and grad school in Central NY by watching Sabres games), who thinks these jerseys look pretty good.
Maybe the actual logo isn't all it coule be, but the overall jersey colors, style, etc. is pretty sharp.

yes, but will the jerseys with the buffaslug breaking out of the ice come to fruition? God, I hope so.
Jeeeeeesus Christ, that's ugly. Still. Whoever came up with this thing needs a McSorely.
sabresfans.com has a pic of the jersey that is supposed to be a leak/net error from the sabres website. I think the full jersey looks great (the blue, yellow, and white look perfect together) and minimizes the less-than-perfect logo.
