Malkin arrives

I can't believe some pundits were saying this kid was overrated coming into this season.

That Evgeni Malkin can be so fluid and skate like that at his size is unbelievable (something I was lucky enough to see in person during the World Junior Championships). I have a feeling he's going to be getting a lot of those post-goal hugs from Sidney Crosby the next few years.

Sid and Malk are going to put up many, many points between the 2 of them in coming seasons!

Don't sleep on the pass to set up Crosby's goal in the second either. Not too shabby...

After seeing these three games, can Cralkin lead the Pens to the Playoffs?

Finally, it's fun to watch Mario, I mean the Penguins again! Malkin's already got my vote for the Calder.

I don't know who would think this kid's overrated. I guess whoever it was didn't see what happen to Team Russia after Malkin was gone...

As a Flyers fan from central PA who's in Berlin for most of the season, I have no problem admitting that I am looking forward to seeing many highlight reels like this from Malkin.

People were concerned about Malkin because he was effectively shut down and frustrated in Russia's 5-0 loss to Canada in last years World Junior Final. Ovechkin had a similar fate in the previous year in North Dakota. They can do well in the regular season when playing different teams but can they do it in the playoffs when one team and one line is keying on them. I'm still skeptical.
