Modano unhappy with losing 'C'

The Fan 590 had Dallas Stars beat writer Mike Heika on this morning, and he's speaking to all things Stars — including the move by the team to essentially demote Mike Modano from captain to assistant captain and make the younger Brendan Morrow captain.

Heika says Modano's miffed with the move — which sounds like bad news for the Stars.

Among other revelations, Heika says Patrik Stefan hasn't played well through camp and that fans in Texas have very little faith in Marty Turco after his postseason collapse in April.

In all, he doesn't paint a very positive picture of what's in store for Dallas this year.
