On the tube

Rather than take in Round 437 of the Battle of Ontario, a series that is somehow already in it's sixth outing of the year (fourth of the regular season), I'm more interested to see how the Philadelphia Flyers come out tonight against Atlanta.

This is Game 1 under the new regime of Paul Holmgren and John Stevens, so you have to think this will be one motivated team (besides, the Thrashers played last night, so the Flyers have to at least be able to make a game of it).

Later tonight, Edmonton rolls into Phoenix for a game that likely won't draw flies in Arizona, but which will also be interesting. With Oilers backup Jussi Markkanen likely drawing in, how do the Coyotes respond? Currently on a four-game losing streak, Phoenix has to win at some point, don't they?

Should be worth watching. Or at least I hope so.

I'm more interested in seeing Chris Neil kick the crap out of Darcy Tucker.

Oh wait....

Gotta love TSN's downplaying of the "record" I wonder how they will report it when the Sabres win numero 11 on Sat?

Well, it's an asterisked record ;)

But, as one of their graphics showed, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans. When the Sabres beat the sens 19-3 start from last year remember to ask them how their season ended.

Phoenix waxes Edmonton? didn't see that coming.
