Domi getting rough ride at TSN
The Toronto Star's Chris Zelkovich has the story today on what Tie Domi's foray into broadcasting has meant for the former pugilist so far.
Here's TSN vice-president of production Rick Chisholm:
"Tie is a work in progress," he said. ... "We're trying to find a little more entertainment value. He's a very opinionated person. ... Sometimes those opinions come through quicker in a 10-second hit than over a panel where you often don't get to everyone when you're trying to cover a lot of different subjects."

Link doesn't work...
"A work in progress". That is corporate-speak meaning, "He's embarrassingly awful, and we're praying he gets better really fast."
You slimy reporters. Always cutting off part of the quote. Here's the quote, along with the part you missed:
"Sometimes those opinions come through quicker in a 10-second hit than over a panel where you often don't get to everyone when you're trying to cover a lot of different subjects and if you can just read them off of something."
Does it mean I'm a bad person because I'm giggling like an idiot over this story?
Hahaha. Lord that's funny.
I thought he was good tonight in the "Win, Lose, or Tie" segment. They should keep him there. Inside info that is guided by good questions. I enjoyed him alot tonight, actually. His comments about 16 year old juniors unionizing was particularly awesome. Dead on.
I was going to respond with a similar comment. Win, Lose, or Tie was funny/informative tonight. A quick two minute hit is probably the better approach...
Domi was much better when he was being spoon-fed the questions. He actually had some insight. So yeah, keep him on that Win, Lose or Tie.
Keep him away from being a regular on the desk/panel. That was just horrible to watch.
Ah come on! Give me a break....who cares what Tie Domi has to say about anything! He was a goon player & never should have been in the NHL as long as he had! Now we have to listen to him give his opinion on a 2 minute segment. Spoon feeding him the questions won't help this dog! Get him off the air fast! Let Dave Hodge have more time, at least it is interesting.
Tie is definitely a "lose". Wow, perhaps someone should have had a scouting report done on this guy. He definitely doesn't belong on TV.
