The Specialists

What sets Chicago's Jeff Hamilton and Carolina's Andrew Hutchinson apart from other players this season? I have a look over at Globe on Hockey.

i'm not so sure that this is a completely revolutionary tactic - i recall in the mid-80s when Quebec employed J.F. Sauve (who incidentally may have fit in much better in today's NHL, standing at about 5'5") almost exclusively as a power-play specialist.

Jeff Hamilton should be pretty good on the shootout, also.

I don't have the stats on hand to know if he's had any shootout chances with the Blackhawks yet-- I just know from his time spent here in Hartford, with the Wolf Pack (AHL), that he was pretty good.

He was always near the top of the AHL in game-winning goals, also.
