Kessel out with medical issue

The Boston Bruins released this statement moments ago from Phil Kessel's family regarding the rookie's health. Let's hope it's nothing serious.

I'll update when I know more.

UPDATE Reports out of Boston indicate Kessel is currently being treated at a local hospital.

UPDATE News organizations out of Boston are reporting now on the nature of Kessel's condition. Best of luck to him.

Geez, can't help but think of Jon Lester. Hope it's nothing similar.

From what I'm hearing, that's probably not all that far off. No official sources anywhere are saying anything, but the rumblings are that it sounds like it's rather serious.

Apparently, it's testicular cancer.

Good luck, Phil.

Yes, that's what I had heard as well. In respect of what his family wants, however, I don't plan on talking about it until it comes out in the open.
