Q: You have spent more than 42 hours in the penalty box. That's a lot of time.

A: [Laughs.] That is a lot of time! I should have taken some notes while I was in there.

I don't get to catch any of ESPN's programming up here in the Great White North, but former TSN reporter David Amber has done a really nice job with his weekly Q&A sessions (the bit quoted above comes from his latest interview with Dallas Stars superpest Matthew Barnaby).

Amber didn't really have any higher a profile than any of TSN's other beat guys when he was in Canada (at least not that I recall), but it's nice to see the McGill University grad (B.A.) make good as the U.S. network's eyes in Toronto. He even managed to make the Sedin twins sound halfway interesting when he talked to the pair earlier this season.
