Kings get Fukufuji'd

When you're starting your fifth-string, Japanese goaltender against the second-best team in the Eastern Conference, I think that constitutes throwing in the towel on the season.

What a mess.

  • Eric Duhatschek had a good piece today on the Kings, prior to tonight's ugly loss to Atlanta, although I'm surprised he didn't mention Anze Kopitar and Alex Frolov in the 'hope-for-the-future' part of the piece.

Not exactly the best team to throw Fukufuji in against for his first start ever. Would have been nice if this "history making" game turned out to be a win for him, instead of a full-on assault by the 8th ranked goal scoring team (compounded by the Kings ranking dead last in goals against and the penalty kill).

Goof thing hyphens aren't allowed on jerseys or there'd be a lot of angry Fuji's out there.
