A look at the assistants

On the heels of the Florida Panthers (finally) naming an assistant GM to help out Jacques Martin, I decided to take a look at Globe on Hockey at just who is filling that role throughout the NHL.

We've seen quite a few of the league's newest GMs promoted from the assistant ranks in the past few years, so perhaps among this bunch there's a few future Hall of Fame executives. (Ron Hextall's one name we seem to keep hearing in this regard.)
