Nedved musings

I had a few thoughts on the Petr Nedved situation already tonight, but those came before I'd heard Pierre LeBrun from the Canadian Press say on The Score that all three of the Maple Leafs, Senators and Oilers had put in a claim for the veteran centre. (And from the sounds of it, other teams may have also been involved.)

Petr Nedved: The NHL's most wanted unwanted man.

I suppose it's a sad state of affairs when a waiver wire claim creates this type of buzz — but unlike some of the bemoaning going on over the lack of player movement this season, I think it might be refreshing to have rosters retain just a little cohesion, if only until the trade deadline.

Although that likely makes life tough on our friend Spector.

Actually, I'm as busy as ever. The number of trades may be way down, but that hasn't stopped the trade rumours reported by the media.

As long as there's always the possibility of a trade and as long as there are struggling clubs with some cap space, there'll always be trade rumours to report and pick apart...;)
