The Asian ice hockey little guys went into the game knowing they were going to lose to tournament favourite Kazakhstan, but an opportune goal seven minutes into the third period was celebration enough in the 52-1 loss.

Well, serves 'em right for questioning the superiority of Kazakhstan's potassium exports.
Didn't Australia beat New Zealand beat 58-0 once?
Iceland beat Armenia 50-0 last year. The stats from Armenia's four games in that tourney's round-robin were staggeringly bad, including one forward with a minus-86 and a team goal differential of -140. Again, that was in four games. Ouch.

Right now, they're too busy beating the holy $@*^ out of everyone else in cricket. An Ashes whitewash, for god's sake.
"Up to that point, the highlight for the Thais had been when defenceman Terani Harnnarujchai bodychecked one of the linesmen into the boards."
Haha. That's straight out of "Slap Shot"!
Don't ever play 'Lady of Spain' again!
Denmark lost to Canada 47-0 in the World Championships in 1949.
How many goals did Borat score?
I believe the IIHF record for a pasting is 92-0 in the WJC DivIII in 1998, though for some reason I can't recall the teams.... I'm thinking Austriala vs Thailand for some reason.
It was in Dave Bidini's "the tropic of hockey", and I actually looked it up, but it took a good long time and I don't quite have the inclination to do it again right now.
