Tkachuk makes Thrashers debut
Keith Tkachuk is making his debut as an Atlanta Thrasher tonight on Versus, and he said prior to the game he's excited to do so in his hometown against the Boston Bruins. Tkachuk played one season as an 18-year-old with Boston University in 1990-91.
He also said he doesn't know his new team particularly well, and I don't doubt there's going to be a little bit of an adjustment period there. It's not often that players can light it up immediately after joining a team close to the deadline, but Tkachuk certainly will have the benefit of some excellent linemates in Atlanta.
Kari Lehtonen and Tim Thomas are in the nets tonight for this one.
