Here's a quick look at Bernie Parent's mark that Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo are chasing this season.

Its important to note that it is easier to get a lot of wins today since no games end in ties like they did in Parent's day.

The two best two-or-three year runs of goaltending I've ever seen are Parent mid 70s and Hasek with Buffalo when he won all the hardware. The difference of course is that Parent won 2 SCs with Bobby Clarke and the Flyers.

An interesting thing fans might want to look into (where I don't know) is how many of those 47W's featured Parent playing out of his mind while his team was a man short.

Seemed to happen very often those years.
