Joe Sakic, ageless wonder

The goal makes Sakic only the fifth player in NHL history to record 90 points in a season at age 37 or older. (The others are Gordie Howe, Johnny Bucyk, Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky.)
Burnaby Joe was phenomenal in last night's game in Vancouver, as the captain rallied his young club to come from behind and eventually beat a dozy Canucks team in a shootout.

Colorado are lean on talent, but this is as hardworking a team as they've had down in Denver. Here's hoping their unlikely bid for a playoff spot comes down to that season-ending game against the Flames.

colorado will never give up, thats just not their style. I have been rooting for them to get into that spot even when they were way out of it. I think if they can win their 2 games left with the flames, they can get in. Come On Joe! Show Em How Its Done!

Hard to believe, but Sakic is "only" 271 points behind the immortal Gordie Howe for #3 all-time. It's far-fetched to predict 3 more seasons like this one (especially since it's his best since '00-01), but are 4 more seasons out of the question?
