The playoff odds

Courtesy of JavaGeek, here's a look at the percent probability for teams to make the playoffs:

Eastern Conference
  1. Buffalo 100%
  2. New Jersey 100%
  3. Ottawa 100%
  4. Pittsburgh 100%
  5. Atlanta 95%
  6. N.Y. Rangers 80%
  7. Tampa Bay 73%
  8. Montreal 52%
  9. Toronto 42%
  10. N.Y. Islanders 32%
  11. Carolina 27%
Western Conference
  1. Nashville 100%
  2. Detroit 100%
  3. Anaheim 100%
  4. Vancouver 100%
  5. San Jose 100%
  6. Minnesota 100%
  7. Dallas 100%
  8. Calgary 97%
  9. Colorado 3%
As for who will win their divisions, only Buffalo has a 100% probability. Next in line are Atlanta (86%), New Jersey (81%), Nashville (75%), Vancouver (73%), Anaheim (63%), Minnesota (27%), Detroit (25%), San Jose (21%), Pittsburgh (19%), Dallas (16%), Tampa Bay (12%) and Carolina (2%).

JavaGeek clearly didn't listen to my suggestions for corrections as the Leafs only have a 42% chance of qualifying for the playoff.

One game and now the Wings are 66% winning the division and nashville is 33%. I understand the methods here (I'm no math major but I do have an MS in computer engineering) but I think they're a bit flawed. I think JavaGeek needs to take a little more into account.
