Welcome to the intarweb

I've been doing some training this week in order to fill-in once in a while as web guru at globesports.com — work I haven't done much of in this industry but that was my home in a previous life.

Photo galleries are one of the key features on the site at this point, and I whipped one up earlier this afternoon on the active career PIM leaders.

The photo of Brendan Shanahan, in particular, is a keeper.

Is it really fair to include Chelios and his 30 years in the league?

It is funny how many of these guys correspond to number of years in the league.

I honestly didn't think that Shanahan was as high on the list as he is.

Shanny was a scrapper in his early years. He posted career highs in all offensive categories and PIM in '93-'94 with St. Louis (52-50--102, 211 PIM, 81 GP).

Great shot of Cheli telling the ref what he thinks of that penalty.
