The hockey scarf giveaway
Giveaways are nothing new for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, but the Atlanta Thrashers' choice for their freebie yesterday was interesting:The fans filled the arena with the Thrashers’ blue jerseys and waved blue scarves given out at the door. They roared early in the game, even giving their goalie, Kari Lehtonen, a standing ovation after he made several consecutive saves.Holyfield seems to like it, in any event.

that could be Evan Fields
Attended the Red Wings opener last night, had to be the least impressive "pre-game playoff rah-rah session" in many years. Maybe Mike and Marion have learned their lesson about the cost of early playoff exits.
Now the game was a different story for Wings fans. Did Datsyk really score?
Love the scarves-- very European!
I want one of those. I mean, I really, Really, REALLY want one of those.
I also want one in Avs colors.
