Meet Mervin

My old pal Sean Fitzgerald's excellent yarn on Mervin Cheechoo's visit to San Jose gets the coveted link o' the day designation:

"Moose Factory is basically decked out in San Jose colours," he said smiling. "It's hunting season back home, so people have taken their generators and satellite dishes out to their camps, watching games when they should be sleeping, getting ready for the next day's hunt. Seriously."

I asked Sean earlier in the week how he got the plum California assignment, where he's been covering the Ducks and Sharks, and apparently a set of compromising pictures can do for a sports reporter what they've done for Doug MacLean.

(Just kidding, of course.)
