Luongo's lament

"I don't feel like I deserve the season to be over. I wanted to keep going."
He doesn't deserve his fate, to be sure.

Luongo put up one of the great NHL playoff performances of the past few years over the past 12 games, and it makes me wonder just how well another of the league's contenders would have fared with him in goal.

What more could he have done?

say what you want about luongo deserving the Vezina over brodeur, but he completely deserves the Hart over Crosby and Brodeur this season. no ifs, ands or buts. he demonstrated that last night.

The Canucks were so mesmerized by Luongo's play that they forgot to show up for half the games. Although Bulis, Linden and a few others deserve credit for turning it up a notch in the playoffs.

True. Of course, the problem occurs when Bulis and Linden are your best players. Put an average goalie in last night - not a bad one, jsut a league average guy - and the score is 7-1. At least. What a freak Luongo is.
