NHL puts preseason game in the 'Peg

The Phoenix Coyotes announced that the team will play the Toronto Maple Leafs at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Wednesday, September 19 at 5:30 p.m. in a preseason game.

The game will mark the Coyotes’ second visit to Winnipeg since moving to Phoenix in 1996. The Coyotes played the Edmonton Oilers in a preseason game at the MTS Centre last year in the team’s first return to Winnipeg.

Yet another lame exhibition game that will surely sell-out. Last year's Oilers Coyotes game was fun, but it lacked the true energy of NHL hockey. It was a glorified AHL game... Phoenix probably makes more money of this game than 10 home games. Winnipeg hockey fans don't want another boring exhibition game - WE WANT A REAL TEAM!
