Nylander to the Capitals

Well, the Michael Nylander sweepstakes have been all over the place today, but the Washington Post's Tarik El-Bashir says the Capitals have locked the veteran centre up — which would be a bit of a blow or a blessing to the Edmonton Oilers, depending on who you ask.

He's coming off back-to-back seasons around the 80-point mark, so expect some gaudy dollar figures.
