His answer to "Is this the best you feel going into a season about your chances of getting a Cup?" was one of the best non-commital answers I've heard of any player asked that question. And to read between the lines...I think his answer is "No"
Linden should have retired five years ago, if not 10.
He might retire midway through this season, come to think of it, after he fails to register a point in his first 30 games.
Linden has been there for so long, I remember using him when I played the Canucks in NHL 94.
This may say more about the Canucks than about Linden, but... he had seven points in twelve playoff games to lead the team last year and has only failed to reach ten goals once in eight years... he's a much better signing than, say, Brad Isbister
Linden is a douchebag. I wish the Cansucks nothing but the worst next season. May Luongoneoh blow out his knee in the exhibition schedule.
Linden's Round 1 on/off-ice advanced plus minus was even better; clearly the best forward on the team in the playoffs. http://www.behindthenet.ca/2006r1/van.php?sort=7

Wow. The Canucks are in worse shape than we thought.

He's also a much better signing than Gary Doak, Spreg Cleghorn, and Bea Arthur.
