Bobby Ryan's making a strong case to stick with the big club after putting up four assists last night, while Tomas Plekanec's hat trick certainly bodes well for the Habs. Another guy who is well under the radar is Jason Williams, who could have a decent role in Chicago with better linemates.

Nice job Cogliano tied for 5th in overall scoring. It's been so long since an Oiler has been in the top 50 (even in pre-season) I almost missed him.

I see Foligno's kid is also doing well. Any chance he makes the big club?

I think so. The question is whether the organization wants him on the fourth line or not, because he's certainly good enough to play there.

He's not going back to junior, I know that much.

Williams is probably the best bet at center in Chicago, as Ruttu can't seem to stay healthy.

I imagine Lang and Perreault will play centre.

Let's take these preseason stats with a grain of salt, folks. How many fantasy dilettantes are going to foolishly draft Foligno and Hensick this year? Remember Denis Hamel last year? And Brandon Bochenski the previous year?

That said, I do think that Stastny and Plekanec are going to be dynamite this year.

I'm not sure who this is directed at, and I'm tired of having it posted every time I post preseason news.

Jason Williams always had this air of potential in Detroit but he could never produce when they needed him to. Maybe he'll finally begin to shine this year...

T.J. Hensick always put up lots of points at Michigan, and I could never figure out how. He's not overly big, or fast, and not an exceptional stick-handler. But he always knew where to be and who to find. It'll be interesting to see if he gets a chance.
