Not a surprise to be sure, James, but what I do find surprising in the circumstances is the TSN report that, despite not having received ballots from all thirty teams, they are apparently declaring Kelly to be elected and installing him.
The reason why i find this surprising is because this is precisely one of the things that irked the Chelios crowd to no end. You will recall that Saskin was heavily criticized for doing so.
With this, and with the comparable compensation package, I find myself more and more bemused.
At least this lawyer from Boston has a hockey background.
Paul Kelly has allegedly already received the majority of votes needed to be declared a winner, even though not all ballots are in yet. Democratically elected as per the norm.
This was not precisely one of the things that irked the Chelios crowd to no end about about Saskin. Perhaps it was in a similar vein, although different cirumstance. Although Saskins declarations of comparable salaries apparently was irking them. Do you have some reason now to believe Saskin told the truth there Gerald? Please share if so.
