Ponder this

Who get your vote as the biggest team in the league? The smallest?

(Some folks on the Sharks' message board have been discussing the data I put together a few years back on this; I figure it's time for an update.)

Working on the post now; should have something up here in the next hour or so before Vancouver-Detroit drop the puck at 7:30.

Guesses? Biggest team is Anaheim, smallest team is Montreal or Vancouver.

No way Anaheim is the biggest, they just play the toughest. They only have a couple of players over 6'2" (Pronger, Getzlaf and Parros). Toronto has a lot of big players. Antropov, Sundin, Belak, Ponikarovsky, Kilger, Gill, Kubina and Wozniewski are 6'4" or taller and at least 220lbs. Montreal, New Jersey, Islanders, Colorado and Dallas are pretty small I'd say.

Atlanta will be in the bottom five (as one of the smallest).

Enstrom, Sterling, Little, White, Perrin, Kozlov and Haydar are all well under 6 feet and 200 lbs. Bobby Holik is the biggest guy on the team.

They probably have the smallest defense corps, especially if you use Enstrom's real height. No way that kid is 5'10".
