Then he beat him with his shoe ...
Boy, why didn't anyone put Mike Milbury on TV before now? (The former Islanders GM is one of the new talking heads on TSN, for U.S. readers.)
His thoughts tonight on Jaromir Jagr and the Rangers' struggles so far (and I'm paraphrasing here): "They call him temperamental, but it's 5 per cent temper and 95 per cent mental."
Good stuff.

Clever, but not original. And the mental-health lobby will not be amused.
Or 5 percent mental and 95 percent Nylander...
Agreed James - TSN does a terrific job though. I can't stand McGuire or Healy but when they have a panel there's none of the cozy BS that permeates CBC's coverage.
Milbury is entertaining and informative - who knew?
How about when Milbury described how Gary Dornhoefer, when getting cross-checked to the ice in front of the net, would fall flat on his face, bring up his Pippy Longstocking-era skates, and deliberately nail the defender in the 'taint.' Then Milbury offers to show it to Duthie off-camera. And, just when the panel appears ready to move on, Duthie bring it up again, like he's into it.
"Most football teams are temperamental. That's 90% temper and 10% mental."
-Doug Plank
Actually, Milbury's had TV experience before - he was a hockey analyst with ESPN in 1994-95 before he took over as the Islanders' coach the following season.
Milbury knew the quote wasn't original. He just said it applies to Jagr.
I agree Mad Mike's doing a good job. Never would have guessed that before hand. BTW, Milbury's also a studio analyst with NESN.
It's a quote from the Three Stooges, actually. Milbury actually says that during the segment. I'm paraphrasing again but he (roughly) says: "To quote a great philosopher, Moe from the Three Stooges, Jagr is temperamental- that is 5% temper, 95% mental.
Milbury is really entertaining and brutally honest, which is really nice. I also love how the rest of the panel rags on him for the bad trades he made as a GM (and there are a lot of them...).
Milbury is a fool. And my Dad's head still hurts from being hit by that shoe.
