At the Vanier Cup

Just a quick note that I'll be at the Vanier Cup tonight, the Canadian university football championship, and Neate Sager and I will have some sort of a live blog going on The CIS Blog as the game kicks off.

CIS football has a pretty small audience base, but they're expecting at least 25,000 tonight, which is as big as it gets in amateur athletics in this country.

1 a.m. UPDATE Well, here's my chicken scratch. It's really too bad Saint Mary's quarterback wasn't able to play, as I have a feeling this could have been a much closer game.

In any event, Brian Dobie is one of my all-time favourite guys to chat with in CIS, and it was great to see him finally win a national title.
