Foligno demoted

The Ottawa Senators today assigned left-winger Nick Foligno to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. In his first 14 career NHL games with the Senators this season, Foligno had two goals, six penalty minutes and a +1 rating.

This is likely to get him more ice time than anything, as Foligno has averaged under nine minutes a game this season.

Too bad the term "demoted" was used. Sure he's being sent down but it's not like he's a failure. It's just that the team is too deep and he will have a better opportunity to develop in Bingo.
