Getting goal support

Behind The Net now has 5-on-5 goaltender stats available, something that allows us to look at (among other things) how much goal support netminders have been getting (in short, Scott Gomez and friends are robbing Henrik Lundqvist of a Vezina right now).

Also of note at 5-on-5:
Tomas Vokoun has allowed the most goals (30)
Miikka Kiprusoff has had the most goal support (29)
Marty Biron is facing all kinds of shots (33.7/60 mins)
Dominik Hasek is not (16.2/60 mins)

Completely random and likely unimportant:
Cristobal Huet faces the most missed shots (16.4/60 mins)
Nikolai Khabibulin faces the least (6.4/60 mins)

Gabe Desjardins promises to have all sorts of other netminder goodies up in the near future, so stay tuned for that.

"Brodeur's had a tough year in more ways than one — but you'd be hard-pressed to blame this one on him."

So when the Devils do well, it's because of Brodeur, but when the Devils do poorly, it's everyone else's fault? Brodeur wins games all by himself, I'm told. So what does it matter what his teammates do?

It should say something along the lines of "you'd be hard-pressed to blame this stat on him."

Brodeur can't score.

Brodeur can't score.

What? He's scored twice before! Why does he suddenly get to rest on his laurels? Gomez is gone, it's time for Brodeur to pick up the slack!
