The Junior A brawl
The Maritime Junior A Hockey League on Friday issued the punishment for Tuesday's brawl in Halifax between the Summerside Western Capitals and the Halifax Wolverines.
For Halifax, forward Kirk Forrest, blueliner Ben Chaisson and GM Jack Finlay each got 20-game bans.
The three penalties are by far the most severe to come from the much-publicized incident, which sees a total of 10 players, two coaches, a GM and a trainer suspended.

any relation to Steve Chaisson?
That's right out of Slap Shot.
I think the most important thing here is that the skill players were protected.
wow!
Damn. I'd suggest this was worse than the Calgary Junior Hockey League brawl from last year, but near as I can tell, no charges were laid in this one.
That is nasty!
I covered the MJAHL a bit back in my j-school days... the league always had a rep for being a rodeo on the ice.
