Vote for Rory?

For the second consecutive year, the NHL-All Star Fan Balloting process will be entirely digital. From Nov. 13 through Jan. 2, fans around the world can “Vote Now, Vote Often” for the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star starters for the 2008 NHL All-Star Game online at NHL.com. In addition, U.S. fans also can cast votes through Verizon Wireless cell phones.
My guess is we won't see the write-in candidate as part of this year's balloting.

Include posthumous voting as well and it will be just like an election in Chicago.

1) They can include write in. It doesn't matter. Like last year the final numbers will reflect what the NHL wants anyway
2) No way will they allow the voting to become a mockery by the fans voting in a low regarded player in order to make a point to the league that they are fed up with how they are running things in NY

I would like to announce the beginning of the Vote for Wade campaign, in place of Vote for Rory.

Wade Belak is obviously an NHL all star, who else plays forward and defense with equal skill at both positions? Who else has the self control to never score? Nobody.

VOTE FOR WADE!

It's not just the NHL.
The Democrats in South Carolina have decided Stephen Colbert isn't a "viable candidate" so they kept him off the ballot.
The G&M has a link to the Giant Douche spokesthingy for the Dems. Let's hope the Hollywood writers strike ends soon, because it would make for some great episodes of the Colbert Report.

This year's 'Rory' should be longtime Bruins plugger P.J Axellson. That guys been around forever, time to give him the limelight.
