Clowe arrested
Los Gatos police arrested San Jose Sharks left wing Ryane Clowe early this morning on suspicion of drunk driving, officials said.
Officers pulled over Clowe at around 2:27 a.m. for a minor traffic violation on Highway 9 near the on-ramp to northbound Highway 17, police Cpl. Dan Accardo said.
Officers believed Clowe, 25, was under the influence. The Shark, who has been out with a knee injury since Oct. 28, agreed to a field sobriety test and failed, Accardo said.
Clowe was booked into Santa Clara County Jail and released sometime this morning.
Add Clowe to the list of NHL players, past and present, that have had similar run-ins.

Doug Stolhand of the Puck Podcast pretty much has it right here. The minimum NHL annual salary is nearly half a million dollars. Can't these guys afford a cab? Or a limo? There's no excuse for this. Drink yourself stupid, sure, that's your right. But don't think that you can drive yourself home afterwards.
(Word confirmation: sakbs. Seems appropriate.)
Has anyone in the San Jose Sharks Orgization ever hear of Pelle Lindbergh or havent they learn from the mark bell incident. i know its not managment job to police their player off the ice but come on, they need to get it through their thick skulls
