sad it didnt work for him on the scoreboard
it never has (and probably never will) work for Eager on the scoreboard, so i think Roberts wins that one in the long haul as well.
Your boy Recchi is on a rampage too. Guess he's not done afterall...
Hey, did you doubt me?
I'll have a post on Recchi for tomorrow morning, I'm sure.
The momentum totally shifted. Good call by the announcer.
I didn't but the Pens definitely did. I don't think you can go from 68 pts to useless in a matter of months. There are so many guys around the league who just need a change of scenery.
Everyone blames the cap for the lack of movement but it's got to be more than that. Most teams do have cap space and there are always ways to free up room. GMs seem to be more tentative than ever - nobody wants to get burned.
Recchi just missed the hat-trick. He's flying tonight..
This is exactly the kind of veteran leadership the Thrashers were looking for when they signed him.
It's no surprise that Recchi had a good first game for the Thrashers. Let's see how he is playing in March before we get too carried away - it was the last 20 games of last season, and the playoffs, when he disappeared for the Penguins.
Wow.
Gary Roberts: What a fucking beauty.
Recchi had a two goal game and...his team lost.
Gary Roberts admirably stepped up where the refs and others didn't and won a clear victory...his team lost.
Please keep up all the hyperbole.
I believe it's a bit more complex.
For a guy who consistently puts up 300 PMs a year, Eager sure is a gutless wank. He ran away from an obvious fight situation last week that I wrote of as a fluke, but now I can see why he tried to turtle in this game. When he fights, he loses. No wonder the Flyers employ Cote, too.
